At a buzzing AUT 3MT Finals<\/a> event on 13 September, Ryan Howard was crowned the 2024 AUT 3 Minute Thesis champion! Ryan impressed our AUT judges with his presentation on bioluminescent adaptations in squid. (Did you know that the Taningia<\/em> squid in the deep sea off the coast of NZ can use bioluminescence to communicate across large distances without being detected by predators?) A huge congratulations to you Ryan! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations also to Waruna Weerasekera, who won the AUT 3MT Audience Vote award with his presentation on the outcomes of continuous glucose monitoring for Type 2 diabetes. Well done Waruna!<\/p>\n\n\n
