Ryan impressed our AUT judges with his presentation on bioluminescent adaptations in squid. (Did you know that the <em>Taningia<\/em> squid in the deep sea off the coast of NZ can use bioluminescence to communicate across large distances without being detected by predators?) A huge congratulations to you Ryan!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations also to Waruna Weerasekera, who won the AUT 3MT Audience Vote award with his presentation on the outcomes of continuous glucose monitoring for Type 2 diabetes.
