It&#8217;s about acknowledging and accepting people of all ethnicities, abilities, ages, faiths, sexual orientations and identities.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s theme is &#8220;Celebrate Diversity in Action: Awareness through Involvement.&#8221; Involvement is key &#8211; this event is all about participation, and there are dozens of events to take part in.<\/p>\n<p>You can learn sign language, witness Japanese Taiko drumming, do yoga, visit a Global Village, discuss friendship between faiths, watch the legendary mixed ability dancers of the Touch Compass Dance Company, play sports, or even attend a movie marathon.
