Did you know that there is a network of peer mentoring groups<\/a> for postgraduate students at AUT? These are groups that meet up to support one another, give and receive feedback, practice presentations, share readings, and generally just lift each other up.<\/p>\n

In honour of Postgraduate Week, several groups have opened their doors for their next meetings. Come one, come all – see what it’s all about, and decide whether you’d like to become a member of one (or more) of the groups.<\/p>\n

NZ Scholars and ASEAN Students<\/strong> – 17 August, 1:30 – 2:30pm in WF711. This meeting is all about mixed methods, and Tina Yumei He will share her research on workplace violence against medical professionals in China. Art + Design PhD Group<\/strong> – 24 August, 10am in the WE level 3 studios. Join PhD students in the School of Art + Design to talk about their research over morning tea.<\/p>\n

The Club at AUT South<\/strong> – 25 August, 1 – 2:30pm in MA117. Share cake & conversation with doctoral students based on the South campus.<\/p>\n

North Shore Researchers<\/strong> – 6 September, 3-4pm in AC316 on the Akoranga campus. Professor Eleanor Holroyd will give a special talk about her career in womens’ and migrants’ health research.<\/p>\n

Wellington PG Coffee Group<\/strong>: Wellington-based PG students meet every few months for coffee and conversation. Contact Sue Knox at suknox@aut.ac.nz to be notified of the next open session.<\/p>\n
