Real-world impact is an increasingly important outcome indicator for both universities and individual researchers. Join us for a panel discussion with leading AUT researchers who will share their interesting \u2013 and sometimes unexpected \u2013 paths to creating real-world impact.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our panellists will share their diverse impact journeys, from transforming concussion injury awareness and management in sports, to creating and maintaining meaningful work, to a structural solutions spinout contributing to earthquake resilient buildings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is ideal for AUT staff and postgraduate students interested in creating real-world impact through paths such as policy, education, and commercialisation. Come along and hear from those doing just that \u2013 and bring along your toughest questions for them! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Panellists<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Patria Hume \u2013 Principal Advisor Research and Academic Development and Professor of Human Performance. Her research focuses on sports performance biomechanics and sports injury prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Marjo Lips-Weirsma \u2013 Professor of Ethics and Sustainability Leadership whose research takes place at the nexus of meaningful work, sustainability, ethics, hope, and wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Pouyan Zarnani \u2013 Senior Lecturer at the School of Future Environments whose research interests lie in the areas of connections, earthquake-resistant technologies, and timber-based hybrid structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
