Special screening of ‘Munted’ short film produced and directed by Professor Welby Ings

Professor Welby Ings, research supervisor whose own creative research is cutting edge in his field.

Professor of Design and Narrative at AUT School of Art & Design Welby Ings presented his new film ‘Munted’ to AUT as part of his inaugural professorial lecture in June of this year. The audience at the packed Herald Theatre was treated to a warm and intellectually engaging lecture by Welby on the process of his work. Many people missed out on this first screening, so by popular demand, Munted returns to the Academy Theatre (under the Library), Lorne St, City introduced by Welby Ings on Thursday 27th September 4.30pm with refreshments served after the film and address.

Please come along to hear Professor Ings talk about this new short film which premiered at the 2011 Montreal World Film Festival, was part of the official section in the 53rd Bilbao International Film Festival, 29th   Brussels International Film Festival, 27th Berlin Interfilm International Short Film Festival and more. It has won Best Short Film at 2011 Lucerne International Film Festival, was a Finalist in the 2011 New Zealand Design Awards, Jury Special Honour at 18th Regensburg Short Film Week and won the Audience Award at ZUBIAK Getxo (Spain).
