Doctoral Student Profiles Now Available

A big part of being a researcher in the 21st century is having a strong online presence that communicates your expertise to academic audiences and beyond.

AUT academic staff members have long had public profiles via academics.aut.ac.nz. Now, confirmed AUT doctoral candidates (i.e. those who have passed the Confirmation of Candidature stage) can now have an online profile too. This allows you to showcase your doctoral research to the world, prove your AUT affiliation, and craft your online presence as a scholar.

These profiles are generated from a system called Research Elements (login required). To set up your profile, you will need to populate Research Elements with your details. You can do this yourself, and there are resources on Canvas in PG_Me to help you navigate the system.

Alternatively, if you’d like help setting up your profile, you can come along to one of our sessions on the city campus on Monday 17 Feb 10am-12noon, or Tuesday 18 Feb 1-3pm. We’ll have Research Elements experts on hand to help you build your profile, plus the first 200 students to register will receive a complimentary profile photo with a professional photographer to use in their Research Elements profile.

  1. After reading the article, I have several comments I’d like to share. The piece demonstrates strong potential, with a coherent structure and engaging ideas. Adding supporting references and refining the paragraph transitions would enhance the overall persuasiveness.
