Apply for the 2021 Research Accelerator Programme

Looking to supercharge your research productivity?

It’s easy to feel lethargic and unmotivated about research after many weeks stuck inside. If you need a shot of inspiration, advice, and motivation, we have an opportunity for you.

The online Research Accelerator programme, which launched last year, is on again for 2021. The event is designed to offer training in a range of research skills, as well as opportunities for discussing your project, connecting with other researchers, and asking questions.

This year’s event from December 1-7 features an intensive schedule of live and on-demand training from which you can pick ‘n’ mix your own programme. There are sessions on qualitative and quantitative data analysis, software tools like NVivo and SPSS, productivity tips, ‘bring your own project’ discussions, and more.

This event will suit those who want to set aside some time for deep professional development. The lead facilitator, Dr Lyn Lavery of Academic Consulting Ltd, is NZ’s only Platinum-certified NVivo trainer – so this is also great for those wanting to become NVivo masters.

The training is all online, and you’ll have access to a member’s community, training manuals, quizzes, and exercises. And as a bonus, the materials will be available to you for several months after the event. Engage with your fellow researchers live during the week, then access 50+ hours of videos to revise over the summer.

We have a limited number of AUT-funded Research Accelerator passes to offer to research students and staff. If you are interested, please apply using this form.
