This year’s theme is “Connecting the Dots” reflecting how research is about finding connections and relationships between actions or ideas to fill in the knowledge picture.
Our keynote speaker is Dr Leon Benade, Director Research at the School of Education who will discuss what research is and what it isn’t; review some completing perspectives and share his personal experiences using examples from his current research.
His current project focuses on the concept of ‘21st century learning’ and investigates what influence it has on the work of teachers and the strategic actions of school leaders. His main research interests are teachers’ work, school policy, ethics, philosophy in schools, critical pedagogy, and the New Zealand Curriculum.
