So another year arrives and I am back in my office – mind you the sun beckons through the window and I am tempted to go outside and enjoy the fresh air. Instead I am planning my research for the year and wondering which step to take next. Sometimes it is not always clear as to who I am as a researcher, since researching is only one part of my life (or is it?).
You may feel like me, especially if you are on the doctoral path, so try this link – you may find it helpful. http://eflteachereducation.wordpress.com/2011/09/26/to-be-or-not-to-be-a-researcher/
As it’s always a good plan to get ideas from others, clicking on to Thesislink this year could be the way to go. There are also heaps of other blogs out there with some focusing on postgraduate research, try this one again as it provides stories about issues surrounding being a researcher: http://eflteachereducation.wordpress.com/ If you are into the data analysis stage of your research, this particular post might be helpful. Scroll down to ‘52 Weeks to Submission!’
Another way of linking up with other researchers is to actually write a post. Try one for Thesislink, share your story or give us some hints and see your own words in print!
