If you’re looking to fund your Masters or PhD in Humanities or Social Sciences (or a related subject) then you need to apply for a Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders’ Fellowship (aka a Sylff Scholarship).
Sylff Scholarships are funded by the Nippon Foundation, and provide a stipend of $15,000 for a Masters or $25,000 per year for a PhD, plus all compulsory fees and up to $5,000 for research expenses.
Find more information about the PhD scholarship here, and the Masters scholarship here.
Applications close on 1 October. The AUT Scholarships team can give you advice if you are planning to apply, so get in touch with them. The scholarships are administered by Massey University, and the contact there is Naomi Collins (n.e.collins@massey.ac.nz).
Good luck!
