Wild Weather: AUT Closed

With Cyclone Cook now bearing down on us, Auckland is facing a very wet and windy holiday weekend. This is a potentially serious storm – MetService has issued a severe weather warning, and there is a chance that the Auckland Harbour Bridge may be closed later today.

AUT is closing early today to allow staff and students to travel home safely, and you have probably already been advised to leave the campus. As tomorrow is a public holiday, we expect the university to open again on Saturday 15 April.

Stay safe out there, and here’s wishing you a dry and relaxing long weekend!
